I write the day after the Civil Service Awards where the Probation Reform Programme was shortlisted for Programme of the Year. We were in esteemed company – The COVID-19 Vaccines Programme were the eventual winners. The right result!!

Delivering a big, very complex Government programme on time, to budget whilst in a global pandemic was not easy and wherever you work – on the programme or on the frontline – I hope you take some pride in being part of it.

We’ve a lot to do still and the programme team is already focussed on 2022. Rest assured, we know it isn’t easy for you at the moment and we’re looking long and hard about how best to deliver changes outlined in the TOM that will support you and ultimately people on probation.

Before then I hope you find some time away from work and wish you all a very happy and healthy Christmas.
