WSW flag replaced with DASO flag on nDelius

The Women Safety Worker (WSW) flag on nDelius is very outdated and no longer reflects the job title of our Domestic Abuse Safety Officers (DASOs). Therefore the WSW flag will be replaced by the DASO flag on the 30 September 2022.

The WSW flag will remain for existing records made prior to the change on the 30 September 2022. The DASO flag will be used for all new recordings from the 30 September 2022 onwards.

It is extremely important that probation practitioners use the DASO nDelius flag if there is DASO involvement in a case. This will act as a helpful reminder to probation practitioners to keep DASOs informed of changes in circumstance or potential risk or risk escalation of the person on probation to safeguard victims of domestic abuse.

However, in order to safeguard our colleagues, please do not use the DASOs full name on nDelius.

Probation practitioners should use the following guidance:

  • DASO involvement / Region / Initials of DASO – for example if Peggy Mitchell is a DASO working for the same region as the probation practitioner in the North West it would be DASO Involvement / North West / PM
  • Out of Region / DASO involvement / initials of DASO – for example if Peggy Mitchell is a DASO working for a different region as the probation practitioner based in the North West it would be DASO Involvement / Out Of Region Manchester / PM
