Enhancement roll-out: acquisitive crime self-service portal

Wednesday (30 November) saw the roll-out of several enhancements to the electronic monitoring acquisitive crime self-service portal.

The portal, which can be used to monitor the whereabouts and compliance of people on probation who have a compulsory tag under the acquisitive crime project, is used by probation practitioners in the 19 areas where the project is live: Avon & Somerset, Cheshire, Gloucestershire, Gwent, Humberside, West Midlands, Bedfordshire, City of London, Cumbria, Derbyshire, Durham, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Metropolitan, North Wales, Nottinghamshire and Sussex.

What improvements have been made to the portal?

The developments to the portal come as direct result of feedback from practitioners. They have seen:

  • the introduction of ‘my dashboard’, a new homepage to the portal, where practitioners can assign their people on probation and perform quick searches for relevant information gathering.
  • quick access to a practitioner’s assigned people on probation, reducing the need to search for them each time.
  • improved search functionality with the ability to save relevant searches to ‘my dashboard’ and see the most recent searches across the portal.

How can I find out more about the enhancements?

Training sessions on the new functionality have been arranged and are running until 14 December. Practitioners in areas where the acquisitive crime project has been rolled-out are encouraged to sign-up.

How do I access the portal?

Practitioners can request access to the self-service portal by filling out the application form within the MoJ technology portal. Once submitted and approved, email confirmation will be sent along with log-in credentials.
