Finance, benefit, and debt for commissioned rehabilitative services (CRS): males in the community

Finance Benefit and Debt services in the community have been launched across East Midlands, Hampshire, London, Thames Valley and West Midlands.

Services are available for all adult males on probation either:

  • on a community sentence
  • on suspended sentence order
  • released on licence.

Services can be delivered as part of a rehabilitation activity requirement (RAR). A specified number of RAR activity days will be allocated by the Probation Service for those subject to a community sentence or suspended sentence order.

Any sessions delivered as part of a RAR activity day or as a mandated licence or post sentence supervision appointment will be enforceable.

Services are offered as either low, medium, or high complexity but, this will vary from region to region.  Please refer to local information for further details.

Referrals to CRS providers should be made using Refer and Monitor an Intervention.

For Wales, these services are planned to be implemented on 1 October 2022 subject to formal go-ahead.
