Electronic Monitoring

From 4th April my team are required to collate information from Police for Domestic Abuse and the local authority for Safeguarding concerns as well as the main occupier of the property, to formulate a risk assessment before they can make a curfew recommendation on an Order. This is a change to previous expectation where these checks were only required on cases where there was evidence to suggest a current risk associated with either domestic abuse and/or safeguarding. The new mandate supersedes all previous guidance that specifically relate to the standard of ‘checks’ required. My team will use existing processes to access this information and they may need to request an adjournment to allow time for the information to be returned and the assessment to be made.

I need to share the supporting information with my team and can access this via EQuiP using the keyword ‘Mandatory Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding Checks’.
