Vetting for former CRC, Parent Organisation and Supply Chain staff
Completing the vetting process is a requirement of the 2021 transfer agreement and of continued employment in and movement around the Probation Service and wider Civil Service. We are making good progress but circa 5,000 legacy staff still require to complete their vetting. Below are the latest FAQ reminders and next steps for the coming month.
Since I joined the Probation Service I have got another role and been vetted. Do I still have to complete this vetting request?
No, if you have been subsequently vetted you will not have to complete this vetting request. If contacted, please can you confirm your status with SSCL or your regional SPOCs so that we can remove you from the notification lists.
I have not heard anything since I gave my ID in last year
There has been a big exercise completed to recontact all legacy staff. This was distributed in cohorts alphabetically. If you have NOT received reminder notifications, please contact SSCL.
My onboarding form has been returned
SSCL will explain why, BUT, one of the most common issues is that supporting ID is more than 3 months old- so please pay particular attention to this on submission.
I have previously provided ID to a VCP do I have to do it again?
Yes please! A copy of ID is required at time of processing you through the onboarding process. ID will be shared electronically only and is prescribed from a standard list BUT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THE SAME ID THAT WAS SHARED INITIALLY WITH THE VCP
I have asked for a password re-set for the ATS portal but have not heard back
For many of you it will have been some time since you accessed the vetting portal. We have noticed some issues with re-setting passwords where staff now have a different work email address. We are in the process of correcting all email addresses and will be writing out to all of these staff. With this email there will be a new link into the portal. However, if this scenario applies to you please do contact SSCL as we will be able to rectify any issues immediately.
Next Steps.. June into July 2022
