Delivering interventions and harnessing commissioned rehabilitative services

A suite of rehabilitative tools are being developed to support Probation Practitioners in incentivising compliance and behaviour change by people on probation, including accredited behaviour change programmes, evidence-informed structured interventions, and approved toolkits.

The Probation Service is harnessing commissioned rehabilitative services from the private and voluntary sector to provide specialist services, such as housing and education, training and employment support to reduce reoffending, as well as bespoke services tailored to female offenders to address their specific needs.

We are building on the initial contracts by securing additional services to cut crime by tackling the underlying drivers and root causes of offending behaviour.
