Is your learning record on myLearning correct?

If you think your myLearning record looks incomplete, please try the steps below:

An HMPPS course that appears not to be recording correctly

And the learning is digital eLearning or a video it may be that you have additional myLearning role accesses and you haven’t switched your role on myLearning to ‘learner’ before enrolling and completing the course. You will need to re-do the course, making sure to change your role to ‘learner’ pre enrolment or completion.

And the course is a seminar it may be that the trainer or administrator for the course has not gone back into the training event on myLearning post delivery to amend the learner status from enrolled to completed. You should ask the trainer or administrator to check that they have updated the learner status on delivery of the event to completed.

If neither of the above work, please email training-services-delegate-management@gov.sscl.com for further assistance.

If it is a Civil Service Learning (CSL) course that appears not to be recording correctly

Completion records for CSL courses are updated manually on mylearning so there is a time lag between completion of a course on the CSL platform and migration of the completion record to a learner’s myLearning profile. Please allow 5 working days from the Friday after you have completed a CSL course for SSCL to update all HMPPS learners CSL course completions on myLearning. If at this stage the learning is still not showing on mylearning as completed:

  • Log in to CSL and check it shows as completed on your learner profile on CSL
  • If it doesn’t please raise this with the CSL team via the CSL FMB Functional Mailbox
  • If it does, please email training-services-delegate-management@gov.sscl.com for further assistance

Extra tips…

  1. Check that your SOP information is up to date – if your SOP information is incorrect this will carry across into myLearning as well
  2. Check that you have completed any feedback or evaluation requirements that may be necessary for learning to be marked as ‘complete’. Where applicable, this information will be clearly set out in the relevant course description.
