Spotlight on recruitment

October 2022

In August we signed 604 new employee contracts. This number includes 114 Case Administrators, 151 Probation Services Officers, 10 Probation Officers, 41 Senior Probation Officers and 50 Community Payback staff.

Case Administrator & Probation Services Officer recruitment campaigns

Last month we referenced the Case Administrator and Probation Services Officer recruitment campaigns.

We received a staggering 1600+ applications and as part of our improved recruitment process established to tackle blockages and expediate solutions, we are anticipating to significantly reduce time to hire, booking all interviews in over a week, with slots during evenings and weekend as well as the usual daytime slots.

To meet these timeframes, we invited staff to support the panel interviews and the response was outstanding with over 300 staff offering their support.

These interviews are taking place this week and we hope to offer roles to successful candidates immediately.

Though we had a great response to this initial campaign, there is still more work to do as we relentlessly focus on recruitment into front line roles and will be re-running this campaign from 17 – 30 October.

We’ll again be inviting staff to support the panel interviews so look out for more information.

Part-time undergraduate campaign

This campaign targeted under graduates to work with us on a part time basis while they complete their studies.  We received a range of candidates interested in part time work and 111 successful candidates have now been offered contracts and commenced onboarding with 19 already in post.
