Referring for CRS or CR Intervention

A range of Commissioned Rehabilitative Services are available to people on probation with an RAR and on Licence from specialist external providers to meet key areas of rehabilitative need, including:  Accommodation;  Employment, Training and Education;  Personal Wellbeing;  and Women’s Services.   Contracted providers work closely with Probation Practitioners and Community Interventions teams to ensure the best outcomes are achieved for people on probation.  These services are designed to supplement,  not overlap with:  Accredited Programmes, Structured Interventions and Toolkits.

Regions commission a range of additional specialist resettlement and rehabilitative services to meet the specific needs of people on probation in their region and have funding to commission additional enforceable and non enforceable services.  Regions may commission services alone, using a procurement framework set up to pre qualify organisations with experience and expertise in providing various categories of specialist rehabilitative services – the ‘Dynamic Framework for Probation Services’.  Alternatively, regions may work with local partners such as Police and Crime Commissioners, local authorities and health commissioners to co commission services;  our process map provides guidance for Practitioners and providers.

The Refer and Monitor digital platform

We’ve transformed how we refer and manage interventions through a single digital service, including the processes of adding, finding and referring, tracking progress and receiving feedback on and evaluating an intervention, creating a comprehensive, linked, high quality set of intervention data that can be analysed and evaluated continuously on our analytical platform, enabling practitioners to send supervised individuals on to the right intervention at the right time.  This brief video toplines the digital platform.

The CFO and CRS Options

Region-specific CRS/CFO overview documents are now available introducing different services on offer through both CRS and the current CFO programmes (CFO3 and CFO Activity Hubs).  The overviews explain the differences in approach and illustrate how CFO and CRS complement each other in delivery and when each service may be needed.  Information on how to refer is included, along with relevant contact details.
