Mandatory Learning

Mandatory Learning

As a Civil Servant and a Probation Service member of staff, you are required to complete some mandatory learning to support you in your role. Some of this learning is set by the Civil Service and some by the Probation Service.

To access your mandatory learning and complete it, sign in to myLearning and click on ‘My Learning’ and ‘My Required Learning’. This details what you need to complete and its due date.

You will need to complete all of the mandatory learning relevant to you by the due date shown on your learning pathways summary.

As a guide, the below tables show the mandatory learning most staff are expected to complete as a Probation Service employee. It includes courses that all staff must complete, and some additional courses just for managers.

We would encourage you to log into myLearning record to check you have completed all the mandatory learning required of you and discuss with your manager or Probation Learning Lead if what is mandatory for you to complete is unclear. For example your ‘My Required Learning’ section on myLearning may also include learning pathways that are not mandatory but could be beneficial for you to undertake.
