Thank you for your patience whilst your colleagues continue to work through a large volume of vetting documents submitted. These are taking a little longer to process than originally expected. If we need further information from you, we will be in touch. Please be reassured that delays in the security vetting process do not affect your transfer.

Post-transfer, a Vetting Contact Point (VCP) will be in touch to arrange to verify documents that you’ve submitted electronically or to record details of your documents if you haven’t already provided them.

Transfer letters were sent out to the majority of transferring staff the week commencing 14th June. We know there are some ongoing issues with some of the letters staff have received, such as inaccuracies of the information in the letter and receiving multiple letters with differing pay details. We understand and apologise for the confusion and worry this may cause. More here: https://welcome-hub.hmppsintranet.org.uk/transfer-letter-update-22nd-june-2021/ There has been a big effort on the part of NPS to try and identify as many of you individually as we could without your personal details being available to us in order to get IT equipment over to you. All known exceptions are being processed and kit will be delivered by end of week commencing 14th June.

Post-transfer, you will continue in your current role. What’s happening is a whole redesign of how we deliver resettlement services and as that gets rolled out, changes will occur. Locally, decisions will be made as to when is the right time for people to move out of prisons and into different roles. You will be fully supported in terms of appropriate training for the role you go to and you will be involved in the discussions about how and when that’s going to happen.
