How will you ensure RRP staff who haven‘t received pay rises unlike other CRC’s are treated fairly and in line with equal pay laws when assimilated?
Your current employer is responsible for your pay up until 26th June, and from the 26th June you will move onto the Probation Service pay award cycle. Probation Service pay awards are effective from 1 April each year (the next one will be in April 2022), and the Probation Service is subject to the Civil Service Pay Remit and negotiation with unions.
We want the Probation Service to provide a fair and enduring reward package for all. We will continue working with staff and trade unions to progress our collaborative work on pay modernisation, and to develop proposals focused on improving the overall reward offer available to staff.
What is the employer pension contribution in the Civil Service? If it’s more than 14.5%, LGPS members are at a disadvantage?
The Probation Service employer contribution is 29.6%, of your pensionable pay, into the pension on your behalf as part of the Local Government Pension Scheme; and the contributions you make will depend on your annual pensionable rate of pay. You can find a breakdown of your contribution rate on the Welcome Hub page. Details of the Civil Service Pension scheme and the employee and employer contributions to this scheme are also available on the Welcome Hub page.
I‘m assuming we won’t get any of the Covid bonus payments that the NPS received despite us working just as hard and diligently
The COVID bonuses were agreed to be paid at a point time to staff, this date was prior to transfer and therefore transferring staff from CRCS, Parent Organisations and Supply Chain Organisations would not eligible for the COVID bonuses.
