My question or concern is…

All staff who transferred to the new Probation Service from other employers on 26 June will have a new myLearning account set up.  This will be an MoJ account and will supersede any older CRC-type account.

Further details on the platform, including how to access it,  can be found at: https://hmpps.myhub.sscl.com/hr-and-pay/Helping-you-at-work-Helping-staff-at-work/Learning-and-developing-talent/mylearning. If you are unable to log in to MyLearning you can email: training-services-delegate-management@gov.sscl.com

There will be a process to upload CRC learning records to MyLearning where the course is relevant to the work in the Probation Service. Due to the volume of records involved this is likely to take until Autumn to complete. In the meantime, you can upload a copy of your CRC learning record (if you have one) to the other evidence section of your MyLearning account.

The learning provided is delivered in a blended approach, utilising a range of methods, including videos, 7-minute briefings, guidance etc. You will find most of the learning on MyLearning and all process maps relating to undertaking any task can be found on EQUIP.

If you are having difficulties replacing certificates, you can contact the team on NPS-qualifications@justice.gov.uk; they can provide support and advice. Generally, if certificates have been mislaid, they can usually be replaced via the academic or Vocational Providers website. Please note this will be at the employees’ own expense, as the responsibility for retaining evidence of qualification lies with the individual.

If you have not yet provided evidence of your qualification, this is now being managed by your region so please contact your line manager or your regional contact for support.

The Probation Service has an obligation to record and be able to provide evidence that all staff in roles requiring authorisation to act as a Probation Officer meet the statutory guidance on professional qualifications.  This is why we have been asking all Probation Officers (and SPOs) to submit copies of relevant certification.  We do not require PSOs to submit evidence of qualification at this time.

An alignment process has been designed for staff who work in a role as authorised probation officers, where there is a legal requirement for a relevant qualification to be held, but who do not hold the current approved qualification (PQiP).

An exercise was conducted with current employers before 26 June to collect training records that are directly relevant to probation work.  So this may not include every training event you may have done over the past few years. Those records will be uploaded to your new myLearning account in due course.
