Moving toward the Probation Operational Delivery (POD) model

I will be moving to the POD structure, the timings of this will depend on my region and will be influenced by resourcing, workload challenges, and whether I am in a region that was supported by the Professional Service Centre. I might oversee the work of multiple PODs and I am likely to have PQIP learners within my POD which I may be line managing. The POD model, underpinned by national principles, enables my team to work collaboratively, utilising the skills and experience of Individual members to achieve the best outcome for PoP. It also enables me to develop a culture and environment that encourages and maximises peer support in a reflective practice team environment. The POD model will enable recognition of the different skills and expertise of practitioners, promoting sharing of good practice and learning across all grades. It is expected that I gradually move towards this as resourcing allows.
