Job Evaluation Role Review Tracker

Overview

The Job Evaluation Scheme (JES) Review encompasses all roles across the Probation Service.

The aim is to ensure that job descriptions accurately reflect the role responsibilities and grading.

All roles will be assessed but not all roles will be put forward for panel evaluation.

A number of roles have been identified as requiring panel evaluation (see Groups 1, 2 & 3 below).   Others will only require a review and updating of the job description (see Group 4 below).  In time we create Group 5 – a list of roles identified as not requiring review or evaluation.

Roles selected for review are in accordance with agreed role review priorities informed by Regional Probation Directors.

Each table below includes a description explaining the reason for that grouping.

This list outlines roles where the original submission generated a lower than expected band for the role.  Those impacted would be significantly impacted so recommended for ‘urgent’ re-submission.
