West Midlands

Welcome from Sarah Chand
West Midlands Regional Probation Director

“Hello everyone and a very warm welcome to the West Midlands Region!  For those of you who may not know me, I am Sarah Chand and I am the Regional Probation Director.  If I have not spoken to you directly on one of our engagement calls, or worked with or met you previously, then I really look forward to meeting and talking with you soon.

We, all of us, are genuinely living through and shaping an historic time in Probation.  Hopefully you will have already heard me say what a great opportunity this is for us to create a new organisation, to take the best of all of our experience, whether CRC, NPS or supply chain, and create an even better service than we already deliver.  My vision is for us to be a region which thinks big, to be flexible, to seize opportunities and to work with partners to achieve lasting, sustainable change for our service users.  I want us to create a culture where everyone feels they belong, where diversity is genuinely regarded as a strength, where dignity, respect and integrity characterise our behaviour and interactions with each other, with our service users and with our partners.  I cannot do this alone, I need each and every one of you to bring your individual skills, knowledge, experience and passion for what we do –  making a positive difference to the people we work with.  Together, we can be amazing!”
