Overview of some key systems used in the Probation Service.

MyHub

What it is 

myHub is an information portal which holds advice and guidance, such as job aids, process advice and forms used in conjunction with Shared Service transactions and SOP.

myHub also includes ‘How To’ guidance and full contact details – telephone and email – for the SSCL Contact Centre and all transactional teams.

Single Operating Platform (SOP)

What it is 

All employees have access to SOP employee or manager self-service. SOP holds your absence records and personal details, such as emergency contacts and next of kin.

It is a fast and accurate way to make pay claims for overtime or expenses.

Line Managers can also process actions online via SOP such as absence, temporary promotion and changes of line management. Any diversity information entered is not visible to your line manager – it will remain confidential.

MyLearning

What it is 

myLearning is the HMPPS one-stop portal for learning and development and offers a variety of different learning opportunities from e-learning and classroom learning to recognised qualifications, which support a blended learning approach.

myLearning enables all staff to access all operational and generic training. The portal also gives direct access to the new Learning Portal for Government (See below).

Learning Portal for Government (LPG)

What it is 

The LPG portal has recently replaced the Civil Service Learning (CSL) site – and is an online portal, accessed via myLearning which includes the core learning from CSL as well as more informal learning, such as blogs, podcasts and YouTube videos.

LPG shows you which mandatory learning you need to complete, and by when, making it easier to plan your learning and offers personalised learning recommendations, making it easier to find development opportunities.

HMPPS EQuiP – Excellence and Quality in Process

What it is 

HMPPS EQuiP is an online portal available to all EQuiP users which can be accessed from any device. EQuiP contains all NPS and OMiC operational and corporate processes, procedures and guidance.

EQuiP enables staff to access the information and associated guidance and documents needed in our day to day work quickly and easily whilst providing the opportunity to feedback suggestions for improvements to national process.

Workload Measurement Tool (WMT)

What it is

The Workload Measurement Tool gives Probation Practitioners an overview of their own workload, and the workload levels of staff across HMPPS. This user guide provides an overview of the unique features available in the tool and details on how to use them.

How to access it

Staff who have an @Justice account should be able to access WMT via Firefox/Edge using this link:

Staff who require a higher-level access to WMT – such as SPO’s, should complete the form on the portal to enable ICT staff to upgrade your access using this link:
