East Midlands

Welcome from Martin Davies
East Midlands Regional Probation Director

“Hello everyone and a warm welcome to the East Midlands Region! Many of you will of met me by now (virtually at least) but for those who don’t know me I’m Martin Davies the Regional Probation Director.  Personally, I can’t wait till we can meet up a face to face, as I’m really keen to hear your thoughts and ideas to promote Probation going forward.

The changes we are living through are truly historic, and one that I absolutely believe to be the right way forward for Probation. That’s not to say we will get everything right first time, but I am committed to learning from your experiences whether that is from CRC, NPS or supply chain, together we will make a better service for victims and service users.

It’s important to me, that we create and develop a culture where everyone feels they belong, diversity and fairness of opportunity must be core to our operation.  Together we can make this happen, and together we will represent our diverse communities for the better.

Above all, I want you to be proud of what you do, regardless of your role, you work to protect lives, and provoke change, what better job is there!!”
