“Welcome to the new NPS Yorkshire and the Humber Region.  For those of you who do not know me, my name is Lynda Marginson, CBE and I am the Regional Probation Director.  I am also the national lead for accredited programmes and interventions.  Prior to taking up this post, I was the Director for the NPS North East Division.  I began my career within the Probation Service in 1983 and have seen many changes during this time.  Each of these changes has come with different challenges and opportunities and our move to the Unified Model will be no exception.

I am excited to be part of this transitional journey and look forward to working with each one of you in building our region as we move forward together.  I am confident that the skills and experience that you all bring, will play a vital role in our success and I am committed to ensuring that we continue to invest in you by maintaining a focus on workforce planning, health and wellbeing, equality diversity and inclusion, staff engagement and learning and development.  All of this will support our overall aim of creating an environment where every employee feels included and can reach their full potential.  In addition, ensuring that those who we serve within the community should always remain at the centre of what we do and building partnerships with all key stakeholders in our communities, will continue to be a vital part of how we achieve positive outcomes.
